Mastering your metabolism is the key of effective weight loss

Here are some tips how can you achieve this:

  1. Eat Regularly: Don’t go too long without eating. This habit can slow down your metabolism. To keep your metabolism running smoothly eat regular meals and snacks throughout the day.   
  2. Include Protein: Including protein to your meals can help boost your metabolism. Because protein requires more energy to digest to compared to carbs or fats. So, eat protein such as chicken, fish, tofu, beans and legumes.    
  3. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. It can help you to keep your body hydrated and also your metabolism functioning optimally. Because dehydration can slow down your metabolism.
  4. Incorporate Strength Training: Incorporating strength training exercises into your routine can help increase your metabolism. So, try exercises that target all major muscle groups at least two or three times a week. Because muscle burns more calories at rest than fat does
  5. Sleep: Make sure to sleep for 7 – 9 hours of quality sleep every night. It helps keep your metabolism in check. Remember lack of sleep will disturb your metabolism. Lack of sleep also help lead to weight again.
  6. Limit Processed Foods & Sugary Drinks: Processed food & sugary drinks can negatively impact your metabolism. Processed food & sugary drinks can cause spikes and crashes in blood sugar levels. Choose unprocessed food & water or other low calories beverages.
  7. Manage Stress: Stress can slow down your metabolism. Chronic stress can cause hormonal imbalance. So, try to find healthy ways to manage stress such as meditation, yoga or deep breathing exercise.
  8. HIIT: HIIT means high intensity interval training. HIIt workout can help burn more calories in short time. It helps to increase your metabolism also. Try HIIT workout into your routine a few times a week.
  9. Eat Whole Food: Whole food means fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Whole foods require more energy to digest. These foods can boost your metabolism.
  10. Consistent: Consistent is the key to mastering your metabolism. Healthy eating and regular exercise is more effective rather than a temporary fix weight loss.
